Douglas Station Establishment Trial

Unseasonal weather conditions, including an approximate eight-week delay in the commencement of the NT ‘wet season’ prevented the establishment of the fourth PDS trial site at ‘Douglas Station’.  Whilst other opportunities have preventing the establishment of leucaena on Douglas Station, owner Tony Hayne is convinced that leucaena is the key to increased weight gains and long term viabilitiy of his grazing enterprise and expects to undertake planting in the near future.
